As I settled in to watch Small Things Like These, I was ready to be enveloped in a poignant narrative set against the backdrop of 1980s Ireland. The film’s premise, delving into the deeply troubling history of the Magdalene Laundries, along with a stellar cast led by the immensely talented Cillian Murphy, had me eager for an emotionally resonant experience.

When I first heard about "Tetris," I was curious yet a bit skeptical about how a film revolving around a video game could translate into something gripping and entertaining. Directed by Jon S. Baird and featuring the talented Taron Egerton in the lead role, I found myself pleasantly surprised.

I was eager to see how Perry would navigate the delicate balance between historical accuracy and cinematic storytelling, especially given the heavy emotional weight of the subject matter. What I didn’t expect was to feel both uplifted and somewhat disappointed by the film's execution.

As a professional assassin's retirement goes south thanks to an injured young woman, I walked into this film with trepidation, hoping to see a riveting tale unfold. What I received instead felt like a poorly executed school project, showcasing huge gaps in the storyline and timelines so inconsistent they rival the plot twists in a daytime soap opera.
