As I settled in to watch The Heir Apparent: Largo Winch, I felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity about this adaptation of the Belgian comic series. Directed by Jérôme Salle and featuring a talented cast led by Tomer Sisley, Mélanie Thierry, and Kristin Scott Thomas, I was eager to dive into this action thriller promising a blend of corporate intrigue and personal discovery. While I had seen a range of reviews suggesting mediocrity, I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was an engaging adventure lurking just beneath the surface.

Fish Story (フィッシュストーリー, Fisshū Sutōrī) is a 2009 Japanese action comedy directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura, taking its cues from the novel by Kōtarō Isaka. When I first heard about "Tetris," I was curious yet a bit skeptical about how a film revolving around a video game could translate into something gripping and entertaining. Directed by Jon S. Baird and featuring the talented Taron Egerton in the lead role, I found myself pleasantly surprised.

I was eager to see how Perry would navigate the delicate balance between historical accuracy and cinematic storytelling, especially given the heavy emotional weight of the subject matter. What I didn’t expect was to feel both uplifted and somewhat disappointed by the film's execution.
